Bridgeso (Bono East), July 30, GNA – Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Techiman North Constituency in the Bono East Region, has inaugurated a school block at Bridgeso, a farming community along the Techiman-Wenchi road.
Mrs Agyare, who is also the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, said the facility was funded through her share of the MPs Common Fund and furnished with tables and chairs.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, she expressed appreciation to Mr Johnson Adom, the Techiman North Municipal Chief Executive, for his contribution towards the successful completion of the project.
Mrs Agyare said the facility reflected her commitment to expanding access to quality education in the constituency, adding that education remained one of her priorities and that she would continue to invest in the sector.
She also reaffirmed her commitment to addressing the emerging challenges confronting local communities, transforming lives, and building a better society for all.
“Every child in my constituency deserves a safe, modern and conducive learning environment, regardless of his or her location,” she said.
Nana Yeboah Afena Akumsah, Chief of Bridgeso, expressed appreciation to the MP for the facility and appealed to the Government to expand educational infrastructure in rural communities.
