Accra, May 1, GNA – Dr Isaac Adaebsah, the Chief Executive Officer of the GRATIS Foundation, has commended Ghanaian workers for their resilience and dedication towards building a stronger and more industrialised nation, describing them as the driving force behind the country’s development.
In a message to mark the International Workers’ Day on Friday, Dr Adaebsah said the contributions of workers across all sectors remained critical to national growth and transformation.
“May Day is not merely a public holiday. It is a day set aside by the world to honour the dignity, sacrifice and contribution of working men and women everywhere,” he stated.
He noted that Ghana was at a defining moment, citing the Government’s 24-Hour Economy and Industrialisation Agenda as bold steps towards repositioning the country’s economy through increased productivity, manufacturing and agro-industrial development.
Dr Adaebsah said the agenda placed productive work, manufacturing and agro-industrial development at the very centre of Ghana’s future.
“It is a vision that says Ghana will no longer watch from the sidelines of its own development. Ghana will produce. Ghana will manufacture. Ghana will industrialise,” he said.
The GRATIS CEO said the Foundation played a central role in advancing the industrialisation agenda, stressing that its operations directly contributed to national development.
The Foundation’s network of 40 workshops across the country continued to fabricate machinery, repair equipment, produce spare parts, train artisans, and support agro-processing in local communities.
“Every machine we manufacture, every repair we complete, every farmer we equip and every community we serve is a direct contribution to the industrialisation of this country. We are the President’s agenda in action – on the ground, across Ghana, every single day,” he added.
Dr Adaebsah urged the staff to take pride in their work, noting that their efforts reflected the practical implementation of the Government’s industrial vision on the ground.
Touching on staff welfare, he reaffirmed his commitment to improving working conditions, safety, and professional development within the institution.
“I will continue to invest in your welfare, your safety, your professional development and your dignity as workers and as Ghanaian citizens,” he said.
Dr Adaebsah said the Foundation’s progress was achieved through collective efforts and commended workers for their commitment and professionalism.
He encouraged workers to use the occasion to rest and celebrate, while preparing to continue contributing to national development.
“Today, rest. Celebrate. Tomorrow, we continue — because Ghana is counting on us,” he added.
He wished all Ghanaian workers a happy May Day and called for continued dedication towards building a stronger and more industrialised nation.
