Kadjebi (O/R), May 12, GNA – Mrs Kafui Kwadade-Cardigah, the incumbent Treasurer of the Akan Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has appealed to delegates to renew her mandate during the party’s constituency elections scheduled for July 2026.
Mrs Kwadade-Cardigah said her eight years of service as Constituency Treasurer had equipped her with the experience and institutional knowledge needed to continue managing the party’s finances effectively.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Kadjebi in the Oti Region, she stated that her tenure had been characterised by accountability, transparency and prudent financial management, which contributed to the smooth operation of party activities within the constituency.
“I believe my experience and dedication to duty over the years have positioned me well to continue serving the party. I am therefore appealing to delegates to repose their confidence in me once again,” she said.
Mrs Kwadade-Cardigah noted that under her leadership, the constituency had maintained proper financial records and strengthened internal fundraising efforts to support party programmes and electoral activities.
She pledged to continue working closely with other constituency executives to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and help secure victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections if retained in office.
The Treasurer further called on party members to uphold unity and discipline before, during and after the internal elections in order to preserve peace and cohesion within the party.
She also expressed confidence that the upcoming elections would be conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.
Some party supporters who spoke to the GNA described Mrs Kwadade-Cardigah as hardworking and approachable, expressing optimism that her experience would continue to benefit the constituency.
The Akan Constituency is considered one of the active constituencies of the NPP in the Oti Region, with party executives expected to be elected to steer the affairs of the party at the local level ahead of the next general elections.
