Abura Dunkwa (C/R), May 02, GNA – Residents of Abura Dunkwa in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency of the Central Region have praised their Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, for the extensive road construction works currently underway in the town.

The project, which began through the lobbying efforts of the MP, is expected to see several poor road networks across communities tarred or asphalted.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kwesi Ainoo, a resident, noted that the deteriorating condition of the roads had been a long-standing challenge for the people.

He said residents had breathed a sigh of relief following the commencement of the construction works.

According to him, the town, which has been virtually dormant, is expected to experience a revival upon completion of the project, especially with the addition of street lighting.

Residents commended the MP for fulfilling his promise and appealed for more developmental projects in the area.

Mrs. Agnes Essien, another resident, stated that nearly every suburb in the town is benefiting from the construction of roads and drains, which would facilitate the smooth transportation of goods and services.

On his part, Mr. Daniel Mensah Wardy, District Chief Executive for AAK, said the project forms part of a broader infrastructure development plan aimed at improving mobility, boosting local commerce, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

He urged residents to remain calm and cooperative as work continues towards the development of the AAK area.
