Brussels, May 25, (dpa/GNA) – The body of an 11-year-old boy has been found in the northernFrench city of Rennes.
A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with the death, the public prosecutor’s office said on Monday. The child’s body was discovered on Sunday near the banks of a river in the city in Brittany, with a wet bath towel tied very tightly around his neck.
The emergency services who were called to the scene were unable to resuscitate the child. Death was confirmed at the scene.
Following the incident, the public prosecutor’s office stated that the involvement of a third party was possible, and an investigation was launched.
