Takoradi, April 10, GNA – Mr. Joseph Nelson, the Western Regional Minister, has encouraged SMEs to take full advantage of the government’s support systems to nurture and advance on their businesses.

He said: ” institutions such as the Ghana Enterprise Agency, the Association of Ghana Industries, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce, the Standards Authority, Registrar of Companies and the Food and Drugs Authority exist to support your business growth journey”.

The Regional Minister who said this at the end of the 10days GNCCI Bazaar, indicated that beyond financing, the institutions offered critical advisory services, training, and regulatory guidance to help refine their operations and adapt to both global and national demand.

Mr. Nelson urged the SMEs to actively engage the entities not only in crisis situations but as strategic partnerships in building sustainable and competitive enterprises.

He announced the commitment of the Regional Coordinating Council to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

“Through the revitalised Investment and Business Centre, we are strengthening our role as facilitators of business growth…we are positioning the centre as a one stop hub to improve upon coordination among key institutions and streamline processes involved in business registration, certification and regulatory compliance “.

The Minister said the focus was to reduce delays, enhance efficiency, and ensure that businesses received timely and predictable services to build responsive systems that supported the evolving needs of the private sector.
