Wenchi, (Bono), April 01, GNA – Alhaji Seidu Haruna, the Member of Parliament for Wenchi constituency in the Bono Region has inspected progress of work on the construction of some educational facilities at the Wenchi Al-Faruq College of Education.
Those projects comprise execution of a 12-unit classroom block, a multipurpose dining hall with modern kitchen and other auxiliary facilities, a hotel block, and a three storey two-bedroom staff flat.
The government is putting up educational facilities to improve teaching and learning and respond to the teacher’s accommodation challenge at the college.
Alhaji Haruna told the media that the visit was part of his tour in the constituency to monitor execution of development projects to ensure their timely completion and asked the contractors to speed up works.
He said the visit was also aligned to the MP’s constitutional overnight responsibility of ensuring value for money, as well as deepening transparency and accountability in the execution of development projects.
Alhaji Haruna cautioned contractors working in the area to guard against shoddy works, assuring the government’s dedication to pay them promptly.
