Leading African Mobility Platform YANGO joins forces with FUTURE CAR to set Benchmark for NEV Mobility in Africa

Accra, April 24, GNA – From April 16 to 22, YANGO, one of Africa’s largest ride-hailing platforms, together with a fleet partners from Ghana, visited Hangzhou and its core partner FUTURE CAR.

The visit formed part of activities aiming to accelerate the large-scale deployment of new energy mobility solutions across Africa.

The delegation conducted in-depth inspections of key ecosystem partners including Zhejiang Jixin Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd, Hangzhou Carlinx Multi Tech Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Farizon New Energy commercial Vehicle Group Co., Ltd., two-wheeled EV manufacturers, and Alibaba Group,

The delegation also toured enterprises spanning the entire value chain—covering vehicle manufacturing, intelligent connectivity, EV powertrain components, and cross-border services—to comprehensively assess China’s technological strength, supply chain systems, and digitalized operational capabilities in the new energy mobility sector.

Amid volatile international oil prices and tightening energy supplies, the electrification of transport has become a core pathway for Africa to tackle high operating costs and achieve a green transition.

During meetings with YANGO representatives, Wang Qian, Chairman of FUTURE CAR, and Luo Lu, President of Hangzhou Carlinx , stated that Ghana, as a key market in West Africa, is accelerating its low-carbon transport upgrade.

This partnership will fully replace conventional fuel vehicles with new energy vehicles, effectively reducing mobility and logistics costs, driving local employment and industrial upgrading, and helping Ghana build a self-controlled green transport ecosystem.

As a professional service provider deeply rooted in the African market, FUTURE CAR has tailored a one-stop go-global solution for YANGO, bridging critical links including vehicle supply, smart management, after-sales maintenance, and cross-border customs clearance.

The vehicle mix includes second-hand NEVs, two-wheeled electric vehicles, and electric commercial vehicles, laying a solid foundation for deeper bilateral cooperation.

At the conclusion of the inspection, YANGO, FUTURE CAR, and Hangzhou Carlinx officially signed a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding, outlining a major deployment plan: 16,570 NEV ride-hailing vehicles and 3,752 NEV freight trucks will be deployed in the African market in 2026.

Over the next five years, the cumulative deployment will reach 35,508 NEV ride-hailing vehicles and 12,121 NEV freight trucks, covering passenger transport, urban delivery, logistics and other scenarios, to build one of the largest green mobility networks in West Africa and beyond.

Leveraging its strong technology and extensive footprint, YANGO stands firmly among the top tier of African mobility platforms.

FUTURE CAR innovates with a work-and-pay model, partnering with leading automakers such as Geely, and combined with Hangzhou Carlinx’s intelligent management system and full-chain services, will create brand-new mobility solutions for core West African countries including Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

Through this powerful tripartite alliance, the partners will leverage semi-knocked-down (SKD) local assembly, technology transfer, and talent cultivation as key drivers to deeply embed the industrial chain and support Ghana in building its own local automotive brand.

This cooperation marks a milestone in practical China-Africa collaboration on new energy mobility. It not only echoes the Belt and Road Initiative but also injects strong momentum into Africa’s energy transition and sustainable development.

Going forward, the three parties will continue to deepen their synergy, leveraging China’s intelligent manufacturing and full industrial chain strengths to empower green mobility in Africa and set a new example of win-win cooperation between China and Africa.
