Berlin, Sept 8. (dpa/GNA) – Teams competing at the women’s basketball World Cup in Berlin, again had to evacuate their hotel after the fire alarm went off for a second time.
The alarm went off at around 9 am (0700 GMT), and all teams had to wait in the street for some half an hour until the all-clear was given.
The same incident happened in the early hours of last Sunday. All teams, except for top favourites United States, are staying at the same hotel.
The US, led by several WNBA stars including Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, have arranged their own accommodation.
