Kadjebi (O/R), April 28, GNA – The Oti Regional Secretariat of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), will honour 25 outstanding workers during this year’s May Day celebration scheduled for Friday, May 1, at Kadjebi.

Mr Joseph Atango, the Oti Regional Secretary of CLOGSAG, disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), saying the awardees were selected from the nine districts in the region in recognition of their dedication, efficiency and commitment to public service.

He said the celebration, which would be held at the Kadjebi Parade Grounds, was expected to attract more than 300 workers, alongside dignitaries from various sectors.

Mr Atango explained that the awards scheme forms part of efforts by the Association to motivate its members and promote professionalism within the civil and local government services.

He noted that recognising hardworking staff would not only boost morale but also inspire others to improve their performance in the discharge of their duties.

The Oti Regional Minister, Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, is expected to attend the event as the Special Guest of Honour.

Activities billed for the celebration include a march past, cultural displays, and solidarity messages from organised labour groups and other stakeholders.

Mr Atango reaffirmed CLOGSAG’s commitment to advocating improved working conditions and welfare for its members and urged workers to remain dedicated and uphold high standards of integrity in their service to the nation.
