Sunyani (Bono), April 5, GNA – Pastor Dennis Sasu, District Pastor of the Sunyani Industrial Estate District of the Church of Pentecost, has cautioned Christians against false teachings and doctrines that undermine Christendom.
He advised believers to remain steadfast in their faith to withstand the spread of false doctrines that adulterate sound biblical teachings.
Pastor Sasu gave the caution when he delivered a sermon at the Church’s Easter Convention underway in Sunyani.
Thousands of congregants of the Church of Pentecost in the Sunyani Area are attending the convention to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the captain of the Christian faith.
He urged Christians to use the festive season to reflect on the suffering and vicarious death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and amend their ways by shunning sin and wrongdoing.
“The death of Christ on the cross is the ultimate demonstration of God’s love for humanity, and that should inspire believers to live righteously, humbly, and in service to others,” he emphasised.
Pastor Sasu explained that the significance of Good Friday goes beyond mourning Christ’s death, stressing the need to understand the deeper spiritual meaning behind His sacrifice.
He encouraged Christians to use the period for repentance and spiritual renewal, and to build intimacy with God.
“In fact, the death of Christ reminds us that salvation came at a great price. That is why we must remain focused and stand against doctrines that seek to mislead the faithful,” he advised.
