Building strong defenders will secure NPP’s 2028 victory – Krachi East Aspirant

By Kingsley Mamore

Dambai (O/R), May 18, GNA – Mr Clement Mensah, the incumbent First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Krachi East Constituency, has said strengthening grassroots party defenders would be crucial to securing the party’s victory in the 2028 general elections.

Outlining his vision for the constituency,

Mr Mensah stated that a disciplined and well-organised base of party officers, polling station executives, and branch members formed the foundation of every successful political campaign.

He explained that investing in the capacity building and welfare of party defenders would improve the NPP’s ability to engage voters, communicate its message effectively, and respond swiftly to issues at the grassroots level.

He argued that the position of First Vice Chairman required a dedicated and committed individual who had sacrificed for the growth of the party, rather than persons pursuing personal interests.

According to him, the office should not be occupied by persons whose primary motivation was personal gain but rather by individuals genuinely committed to advancing the collective interest of the NPP and strengthening its grassroots structures.

Mr Mensah maintained that effective party leadership demanded commitment, experience and a willingness to serve members at the levels, especially during challenging periods.

He added that leaders who had remained active and supportive of the party through both victories and setbacks were better positioned to unit members and drive the party’s agenda ahead of the 2028 elections.
