Abura Dunkwa (C/R), April 3, GNA- Dr. Juliette Dufie Otami, Central Regional Director of Education, has indicated that examination malpractice is not just a student problem, but a systemic challenge that must be eradicated.
She noted that shortcuts taken through examination malpractice could become lifelong limitations for students.
The Regional Director made the remarks while addressing the 50th anniversary celebration of Aburaman Senior High School (SHS) in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District of the Central Region.
The well-attended event was held on the theme: “50 Years in Retrospect: The Dawn of Aburaman SHS.”
She advised students to study hard, stressing that true success was not about passing at all costs, but about earning success with honesty and confidence.
Dr. Isaac Ignatius Yankey, Headmaster of the school, said that despite numerous challenges, the school is currently ranked 16th out of 77 senior high schools in the Central Region, with improved performance in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
He cited inadequate infrastructure, including dormitories, classrooms, dining and assembly halls, an unfenced compound, insufficient furniture and computers, and the absence of a school bus.
Dr. Yankey therefore appealed to stakeholders, alumni, government, philanthropists, corporate bodies, GETFund, and others to support the school.
The headmaster reminded students that they are the next generation of leaders and urged them to take pride in the school and work hard.
Prof. Samuel Ato Duncan, President General of COA Research and Manufacturing Company Limited, said the Global Peace Mission would establish Peace Clubs in basic and tertiary institutions to promote peace, unity, and reconciliation among students.

He donated GH¢30,000.00 to the school and pledged to support the realisation of its vision.
Nana Kojo Dadzie II commended the school’s dedication to excellence and encouraged students to uphold the legacy of achievement established by their predecessors.
Mr Daniel Mensah Wardy, District Chief Executive of AAK; Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament for AAK; and Mr Hakeem Addae together donated GH¢35,000.00 towards development projects in the school.
