Tamale, Sept 01, GNA – Two boreholes have been inaugurated at Dakpema Palace area and Nalung Fong in the Tamale Metropolis to ensure improved access to potable water for residents.
They were constructed by Faith Group of Companies; an indigenous company, which is into cold stores and real estates, as part of its corporate social responsibility to help address the challenge of water shortage experienced in these communities.
The company’s newly constructed corporate office, located at Dakpema area in Tamale, has also been inaugurated while Faith Hostel, a 102-room commercial hostel facility owned by the company, located near University for Development Studies, has also been inaugurated for use by students.
Elder David Owusu Yentumi, Chief Executive Officer, Faith Group of Companies, speaking during the inauguration of the projects, said the projects and the corporate office represented another significant step in the company’s journey of growth and service to its customers and communities.
Elder Yentumi said “Faith Group of Companies started with a vision to provide quality products and reliable services while creating opportunities for employment and contributing meaningfully to the development of our community.”
He added that “As we expand, we remain conscious of our responsibility to the people and communities we serve. Our success must not only be measured by financial growth but also by the positive impact we make through employment, customer satisfaction, community development and responsible business practices.
He touched on the new corporate office saying it would provide a platform for improved coordination, better management and stronger engagement with customers, partners and other stakeholders.
He commended staff of the company for their dedication and sacrifices and acknowledged traditional leaders, religious leaders, public institutions amongst other stakeholders for their guidance, support and goodwill towards the company.
Alhaji Adam Abubakari Takoro, Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, who was represented at the event, commended the company for its resilience helping it to expand to its present status.
Alhaji Takoro also lauded the company for its contribution to the development of the metropolis in the areas of job creation and community development.
Dakpema-Naa Fuseini Bawa, a Chief in the area, expressed appreciation to the company for its interventions in the area.
