Koforidua, Mar. 4, GNA – Royal House Chapel has renovated the Antenatal and Postnatal Units of the Koforidua Polyclinic, handing over the refurbished facilities to health authorities as part of its annual community support initiatives.
The gesture, undertaken as the church’s contribution to improving health services in the Eastern Region, formed part of its broader efforts to give back to society through targeted support to public institutions.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Reverend Paul Okyere Boateng, Eastern Regional Area 1 Local Head of the Royal House Chapel, said the renovation was also in honour of the church’s Founder, Apostle-General Sam Korankye Ankrah.
Rev. Boateng noted that the church’s support to the Polyclinic was aimed at promoting holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
“The church makes donations annually in different ways and at different locations, and I encourage other organisations to show similar kindness so more people can benefit,” he said.

Dr Kwame Ofori-Koramoah, Medical Superintendent of the Koforidua Polyclinic, expressed appreciation to the church for the gesture, stating that the renovation would improve safety and appearance, enhance staff productivity, and boost patient comfort.
He appealed to other institutions, churches, and benevolent groups to support the Polyclinic in completing other health infrastructure needs.
Mrs Eunice Abuaku, New Juaben South Municipal Health Director, added that internal resources alone cannot meet all the needs of health facilities, making external support vital in addressing critical gaps in infrastructure and other areas.
