Accra, March 1, GNA – The King of Morocco, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has reiterated the Kingdom’s firm solidarity with several Gulf States following what the Royal Office described as “vile aggressions” targeting their sovereignty and territorial integrity.
A statement issued by the Royal Office said the Moroccan leader conveyed the position during separate telephone conversations with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain; His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia; and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
According to the statement, King Mohammed VI strongly condemned the attacks directed at these countries and stressed Morocco’s full support for every legitimate measure they deem necessary to protect their security and guarantee the safety of their citizens.
The Royal Office noted that the reaffirmed stance reflects the deep-rooted bonds, mutual respect, and longstanding cooperation between Morocco and the Arab Gulf States.
The King emphasised that the security and stability of the Gulf region remain closely linked to Morocco’s own stability.
It added that any threat to the security of the Gulf States constitutes a serious and unacceptable act, posing a direct risk to wider regional stability.
The communication comes amid heightened tensions in parts of the Middle East and underscores Morocco’s continued commitment to supporting regional security, territorial sovereignty, and strategic partnerships with its Arab allies.
