Ho (V/R), March 31, GNA – The Ho Technical University has appointed Dr Michael Todoko, as Acting Registrar following University Council’s approval at a meeting.

The appointment, which takes effect from Monday, March 30, was confirmed at the University Council’s 120th Regular Meeting held on Friday, March 27, 2026.

The decision, in line with the University’s statutes, ensures administrative continuity following the completion of tenure by Dr Christopher Kwasi Amehoe.

Dr Todoko, until his appointment, served as Director of the Human Resource Directorate and has held several key administrative positions within the University.

His roles include Senior Assistant Registrar and Head of the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat, Assistant Registrar and Head of the Registrar’s Secretariat, as well as Acting Head of Academic Affairs.

The University Council expressed confidence in his capacity to steer the institution’s administration and urged staff and students to support him.

The announcement coincided with a colourful send-off ceremony organised in honour of Dr Amehoe, who retired after more than a decade of distinguished service.

He joined the institution in 2015 and served as the last Registrar of the Polytechnic and the first Registrar of the Technical University, overseeing its transition.

Professor Ben Honyenuga, the Vice-Chancellor, described him as “an honest and trusted registrar” whose leadership strengthened institutional governance.

The ceremony, attended by dignitaries, featured prayers, presentations and musical performances, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new phase under Dr Todoko’s leadership.
