Gomoa Potsin (C/R), Oct. 19, GNA – The Living Yahweh 7th Day Sabbath Assemblies has held its first four-day Atonement Festival and Charity Show 2026 at its new Living Yahweh City “Yahweh Ahenkro” near Gomoa Potsin in the Central Region.

The celebration was on the theme; “So they said, let’s us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work, (Nehemiah 2:18 – b: NKJV).”

The church as part of its annual charity shows distributed clothing and mobility support, food and agricultural produce, and personal hygiene and household essentials to 5,593 vulnerable individuals and institutions, amounting to GH₵1.5 million.

The items included 5,500 textile pieces of clothes, 100 pieces of white canes, 70 pieces of wheelchairs, 1,200 pieces tubers of yams, 800 birds, 500 crates of eggs, 500 bags of rice- all from the church’s farms, and 2,000 packs of diapers, 100 boxes of key soap, 100 bags of washing detergent, 200 sanitary pads, and 100 packs of assorted minerals drinks.

Apostle Philemon Okoh Agyemang, the Founder and Leader of the church in an address said the gesture was to continue the work of the Lord – Proverbs 19:17: “He that hath pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.”

“This verse captures the spirit behind our gathering. When we extend kindness to those in need, we demonstrate our love for Yahweh through our treatment of His creation,” he emphasised.

He said the donations represented the church’s practical commitment to alleviating hardship among the poor and the needy – widows, orphans, persons with visual and physical disabilities.

“For over thirty years, our commitment to serving humanity has demonstrated the importance of extending a helping hand to the vulnerable and sharing our blessings with those who need them most,” Apostle Okoh Agyemang stated.

He said the church holding its first Atonement on its new land at Potsin marked a historic milestone, adding, “We regard this land as a blessing entrusted to us by Yahweh.

“We believe that one of the most meaningful ways to honour that blessing is to use it as a platform for promoting love and advancing the welfare of humanity.”

He said the church would continue to worship at Anyaa in the Ga Central Municipality in Accra.

Speaking in an interview on preaching in vehicles by pastors and evangelists, Apostle Okoh Agyemang said the President’s call was a reminder for the effective enforcement of the law.

He said although the Bible gave pasters and evangelists the authority to preach the gospel in every corner of the world, they should abide by the law to promote road safety.

He said the TRAFITECH-GH initiative by the government was in the right direction and called on the authorities to focus on creating more bus-stops along the streets to prevent commercial drivers from parking and loading in the middle of the road.

He said the authorities should also carry out education of other road users such as traders to avoid using the few bus-stops for marketing and this would go a long way to promote road safety,” he stated.
