CCSD engages Gbi Kpoeta residents for community cleanup

Hohoe (V/R), March 8, GNA – The Centre for Culture and Sustainable Development (CCSD), a community-based organisation has collaborated with residents of Gbi Kpoeta in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region to hold a community cleanup exercise. 

Togbe Adom Dake X, President of CCSD disclosed to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the exercise was in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 6 which was important because sanitation made society habitable. 

He said the exercise was also in fulfilment with plans by the Hohoe Municipal Assembly to keep the Municipality, the cleanest nationwide. 

Togbe Dake said embarking on the exercise would instil the spirit of cleanliness and discipline in the people of the community hoping that the residents would be in their numbers to ensure that their surroundings were always neat. 

Mr Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) commended Togbe Dake and the residents of Gbi Kpoeta for holding the exercise to ensure that their community was always clean as envisioned by the Assembly.
