Ashaiman, March 11, GNA – Achievers Business Consult has organised an executive business summit aimed at equipping persons with disabilities in Ashaiman with practical knowledge and skills to start and sustain successful businesses.

The summit, organised in collaboration with the Mega Marriage Conference (MMC) and supported by several institutions including Friends for Wealth Foundation Limited, Genesis Innovations, Gamed Solutions and HotJobs Africa, brought together participants from the Ashaiman municipality with a focus on entrepreneurship development, business management and marketing strategies.

Reverend Agbemor Aheto, the Director of Achievers Business Consult, explained that the initiative was designed to build the entrepreneurial capacity of persons with disabilities and prepare them to actively participate in the local economy.

Rev Aheto noted that many individuals within the disability community possess talent and potential but often lacked access to structured business education and financial support, adding that the training, therefore, focused on helping participants understand practical business modules and the fundamentals of managing and marketing a business.

He added that by strengthening their knowledge in these areas, they would be better positioned to establish and grow their own enterprises, further disclosing that Friends for Wealth Foundation Limited would support participants by providing soft loans to enable them to venture into entrepreneurship and other skill development activities after the training.

He said the financial assistance was expected to help beneficiaries translate the knowledge acquired during the summit into viable businesses and encouraged the participants to apply the lessons learnt during the programme and work towards becoming self-reliant.

He emphasised that entrepreneurship required patience, discipline and continuous learning and advised them not to compare their progress with that of already established entrepreneurs or business communities; instead, they should focus on building their ventures gradually while strengthening their skills and experience over time.

He further revealed that National Investment Bank PLC and Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited, which support the firm’s financial operations and business programmes, are the official banking partners of Achievers Business Consult.

At the end of the summit, certificates were presented to all participants to recognise their successful completion of the training programme.
