Accra, Feb 20, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama and his wife, First Lady Lordina, have extended warm greetings and best wishes Muslims across the nation on the occasion of this year’s Ramadan.
President Mahama in a video message said: “As we stand at the threshold of this blessed month of Ramadan, Lordina and I extend our warmest greetings to you and your families.”
He said Ramadan was truly a special time; a month of reflection, renewal, and coming together as one community.
“As you begin your fast, may your hearts be purified and your imān strengthened. May Allah, the Most Merciful, grant you good health, peace of mind, and abundant mercies throughout these thirty days,” the President said.
“May your prayers be answered, your good deeds be accepted, and may this Ramadan bring you closer to your Creator and to one another.
“As you break your fast each evening with family and friends, remember that the true beauty of Ramadan lies not just in abstaining from food, but in the discipline, compassion, and generosity we show to all, especially to those less fortunate.”
He urged the Islamic faithful to use the holy month to strengthen the bonds of unity, love, and peace in their communities and across our beloved Ghana.
“From my family, we wish you a spiritually fulfilling and blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak! May Allah accept your worship.”
