Anloga (V/R), Feb. 10, GNA – The Anyako Roman Catholic (R/C) Basic School Old Students Association has donated a range of sports equipment to the school to promote physical education and sporting excellence.

The donation was led by executive members of the Association, Mr Samuel Akorlie, Ms Tettey Mary and Ms Kpodo Matilda.

The items included sets of football and volleyball jerseys, two footballs, two volleyballs and other sporting materials.

The equipment is expected to enhance sporting activities as part of the school’s co-curricular programme, while promoting teamwork, discipline and physical fitness among pupils.

Presenting the items, the executives reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to the holistic development of the school, noting that sports played a critical role in shaping young minds and nurturing talents alongside academic pursuits.

“This donation is our modest way of giving back to the school that laid the foundation for many of us, and we hope it will motivate pupils to actively participate in sports and develop their talents,” a representative of the Association said.

The donation marked the second major contribution by the Old Students Association to the school. Two years ago, the group donated two well-designed signboards to improve the school’s visibility and strengthen its identity within the community.

Staff of Anyako R/C Basic School expressed appreciation for the gesture and commended the old students for their continued commitment to the school’s development, describing the donation as timely and impactful.
