Atronie, (Bono), Nov. 07, GNA-Ms. Salamatu Abdulai, the Sunyani East Constituency Women Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the weekend, urged women members and supporters of the party to remain formidable, and solidify the NPP’s grassroots support base.
Addressing some women members and supporters of the NPP at Atronie, to kick-start her tour to the 34 electoral areas in the constituency, she emphasised that the party required a strong grassroot support base to regain political power in the Election 2028.
She explained that her tour to the electoral areas was to re-energise the women’s wing of the NPP and rally support for intensified political party activities, ahead of the 2028 General Election.
Ms. Abdulai noted that the women’s wing of the NPP played an integral role in advancing the party’s political activities at the constituency levels.
She stressed that as the pillars of the party, women members and supporters of the party at the grassroots ought to rise above all limitations and contribute their quota towards bringing the NPP back to political power.
She emphasised that with their support and commitment, the NPP could easily recapture the Sunyani East Constituency parliamentary seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Ms. Abdulai added that the NPP required the support from the women’s wing to garner more votes for the former Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s Election 2028 flagbearer to win the Presidential polls as well.
