Dambai (O/R), Feb 5, GNA – The Krachi East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Safo Nketia, is spearheading the construction of six-unit modern water closet (wc) toilet facility at T.I Ahmadiyya Basic school.
This is aiming to boost sanitation and creating a healthier learning space.
Mr Nketia revealed that the existing toilet facility was dilapidated and unfit for use, prompting him to initiate the construction of a modern replacement.
This initiative seeks to address sanitation gaps, promoting pupils and staff bungalows well-being and academic performance.
The Headmaster of T.I Ahmadiyya Basic school, Mr Paul Nachipu Isor, expressed gratitude to the MCE for constructing a modern WC toilet facility at the school.
He described the MCE’s decision to prioritize their school as a blessing, especially considering the numerous schools in the Municipality.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) , he said the school management and community were thrilled with the development, which would significantly improve sanitation and learning environment.
While expressing his appreciation, Mr Isor appealed to the MCE and the Member of Parliament (MP) Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, to assist with classroom infrastructure, citing challenges faced by students and staff.
He urged the authorities to include the school’s pressing need for better classrooms, highlighting the struggle to provide conducive learning spaces.
