Sandema (U/E), Jan. 11, GNA – The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Builsa North Constituency has organized a get-together for the Party’s Youth Working Committee.
The event was aimed at appreciating the Committee for its contribution to the success of the NDC in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
It also provided an opportunity for members to socialize and strategize on supporting the Mahama-led government to deliver on its promises under the ‘Reset Agenda’ to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.
During the interaction, members reminded Party leadership of the need for jobs, which remained their major concern, as some were unemployed.
Prior to the get-together, Constituency Executives met polling station organizers to strengthen grassroots coordination and ensure activities across electoral areas aligned with the government’s agenda.
Mr James Achaab, Builsa North Constituency Chairman of the NDC, acknowledged the Committee’s instrumental role during the voter registration exercise and other outreach programmes leading to the general elections.
On the issue of jobs, he said: “Your dedication has not gone unnoticed. The demand for work is high and requires some patience. You are the backbone of our operations, and we are here to listen and strategize.”
He assured members that their concerns would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities to explore tangible support systems.
Mr Mahama Abdul-Samed, Constituency Youth Organizer, said: “The strength of any movement lies in its people, and you are our engine. Let’s stay focused and support one another as we work towards the Party’s ultimate vision.”
Mr Solomon Ansoabyie Akogti, Bulsa North Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), urged residents to avoid acts that hinder collective and individual efforts toward development in the Municipality.
He cautioned against the “pull him down syndrome,” especially among NDC members, saying it undermined governance efforts.
He stressed that his success as MCE depended on a unified community with strong Party support.
“I need everyone in Buluk to support me to succeed as MCE. I do not discriminate; my doors are open to everyone. Stop the pull- him down syndrome, and let’s work together to develop Buluk,” he said.
Mr Akogti noted that divisive tactics slowed progress and betrayed the electorate’s aspirations for improved infrastructure, quality healthcare, and economic opportunities.
He reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance and expressed his readiness to work with all stakeholders regardless of political affiliation.
Mr Robert Akpara Agaab, Youth Working Committee Chairman, commended members for their resilience and pledged to keep the Committee active to complement the efforts of the Youth Organizer.
