Ho, Jan. 1, GNA – The Celestial Church of Christ, Elohim Parish in Ho ushered members into the New Year with prayers, exhortation, and a call to salvation.

The crossover service was anchored on a biblical message from the book of Isaiah 66:12–14, which emphasised peace, comfort, and divine restoration.

Supreme Evangelist Maurice Paul Gbagidi, Shepherd-in-Charge of the parish, led the congregation through the scripture and urged members to place their trust in God’s promises.

“For this is what the Lord says: ‘I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream,’” he quoted, reminding the faithful of God’s enduring care.

The passage he said assured believers of God’s comfort, likening it to a mother’s care for her child, and encouraged them to remain steadfast in faith.

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you,” the evangelist said, urging members to draw strength from God amid challenges.

Supreme Evangelist Gbagidi preaching on salvation, called on members to live righteous lives and uphold Christian virtues in the New Year.

He noted that those who served the Lord would experience joy and spiritual growth, as stated in the scripture that “your heart will rejoice, and you will flourish like grass.”

The Shepherd-in-Charge cautioned that while God’s hand would be revealed to His servants, His fury would be shown to those who oppose righteousness.

Members of the congregation expressed gratitude for the peaceful service, describing it as spiritually uplifting and inspiring as they begin the New Year.
