Accra, Jan 22, GNA – The Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly has cleared debris from the trading enclave behind Royal VVIP station, near Kwame Nkrumah Circle, where a Tuesday fire razed dozens of shops.
Scavengers, scrap dealers and some street side vendors combed through the debris for scraps and phone accessories.
“While some are crying, others will enjoy”, said Abdul Majid, a farmer and scrap dealer, as he talked about the economic opportunity the fire outbreak had presented to him and other scrap dealers.
