Accra, Dec 7, GNA – Mr. Victor Kpakpo Addo Jnr., Lead Pastor, Citizen Fellowship Church, has launched his latest book “The Christian Influencer” urging Ghanaians especially the youth to embrace positive influence rooted in Christian values.
He said society urgently needed role models who inspired the right behaviour.
Speaking during the launch in Accra, Mr. Addo Jnr, widely known as Rev. Azigiza said the book was inspired by the growing gap between the massive influence people wielded today and the lack of moral grounding behind much of it.
“We always talk about influencers, some are doing amazing work, but others are influencing negatively. People don’t even realise that adverts, fashion choices, and our preferences are all forms of influence,” he added.
Rev Azigiza said the strongest form of influence begins at home, stating that, “if your mother screams, you will scream. If your father beats your mother, you’ll think that is normal. These are influences that shape us.”
He explained that the book sought to help people understand influence as a God-given birthright.
“Influence was not bought. In the beginning, influence was given to man by God but knowing you carry influence is one thing, using it rightly is another.”
“Most people don’t know what they carry, so they copy people wrongly and behave anyhow. If you know you’re a Christian influencer, you behave well. There is moral influence, spiritual influence, and many other forms, all of which I outline in this book,” he added.
Rev Azigiza announced plans for a nationwide school and university tour, supported by sponsors who would purchase the books in bulk, adding that students would receive free copies during the outreach after his teachings.
He highlighted the Bible as the core foundation of the book’s teachings: “Many of the motivations we hear today trace back to the Bible. Even aspects of national constitutions draw from biblical principles.”
“If I’m showing you how to be an influencer as a Christian, I’m showing you the right way, using the Bible as the authentic source,” he stressed.
Rev Azigiza said his aim was not only to speak to Christians, but to provide a framework for anyone seeking to live with purpose and integrity.
“There are food influencers and many other influencers, but for me, I have a stand, I’m Jesus-biased, Christ-biased. Christian Influencer reflects that. Anyone who reads it will be able to draw wisdom and direction for life,” he said.
