Adumadum (O/R), Dec 2, GNA- Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, Member of Parliament (MP) of Krachi East constituency, has praised President John Dramani Mahama and Health Minister, Mr Kwabena Minta Akandoh for their unwavering commitment to providing quality healthcare to Ghanaians.
Speaking during the handing over of a Community-Based Health Planning Service zone nurses’ bungalow at Adumadum, the MP emphasized that President John Mahama and the Health Minister had demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the health sector, citing various initiatives and programmes aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery in the country.
The legislature explained that government’s efforts were focused on ensuring that Ghanaians had access to quality healthcare, regardless of their geographical location or socio-economic status.
“The President and the Health Minister are working tirelessly to ensure that our health facilities are well-equipped and staffed to provide quality care to our people, their efforts are yielding results, and we are seeing improvements in the health sectors”, Mr Djabab added.
According to him, the Health Minister had announced that the government had completed the recruitment of 13,500 nurses and midwives, marking a significant milestone in efforts to stabilise the country’s health workforce.
He added that promotions for nurses and midwives had been regularised, resolving the delays previously caused by limited vacancies.
