Dzodze (V/R), Dec 27, GNA – Mr Eric Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament of Ketu North, has spent Christmas with patients in selected health facilities across the Ketu North Constituency.
The visit, he explained, was a deliberate effort to bring hope, comfort and practical support to patients and health workers who were unable to spend the festive period with their families.
At the St. Anthony’s Hospital in Dzodze, Mr Agbana and his team shared hot meals with patients and hospital staff, creating moments of warmth and joy within the wards.
He also paid the medical bills of several patients who had been discharged but were unable to settle their bills, enabling them to return home to their families for the Christmas celebration.
In addition, the MP responded to urgent needs brought to his attention during the visit and donated five hospital beds to the facility to help improve patient care and ease pressure on the hospital’s limited resources.
Mr Agbana was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Tree Crop Development Authority, Mr Kofi Kofituo, and some friends from the constituency, whose presence and support he described as meaningful and encouraging.
Speaking to Ghana News Agency during the visit, the MP reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Ketu North, noting that the spirit of Christmas should extend beyond the season.
“At Christmas and beyond, our commitment remains firm. We will continue to care, to serve, and to ensure that no one in Ketu North feels left out,” he said.
Management of St. Anthony’s Hospital expressed profound gratitude to Mr Agbana for the gesture, describing his support as timely and impactful.
They commended him for consistently prioritising health care and the welfare of vulnerable people in the constituency.
