Akatsi (V/R), June 20, GNA – Mr Bless Kodjo Katamani, the District Chief Executive of Akatsi North has said the ongoing construction of an ultramodern District Police Headquarters at Ave Dakpa formed part of broader efforts to strengthen security and support development across the district.

The project, funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund, is intended to provide befitting office accommodation for the Ghana Police Service (GPS) to boost personnel morale and enhance effective policing, peace, and security maintenance in the area.

Speaking in an engagement with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Katamani noted that the initiative aligned with the Assembly’s wider development agenda, which included improvements in education, road infrastructure, and water systems to enhance socio-economic activities in the district.

He said although the project commenced in 2016, it is expected to be completed this year.

He said the project would significantly improve police visibility and operational efficiency in the area.

Mr Katamani further explained that ongoing development projects in the district reflected the government’s commitment to strengthening both security and social infrastructure to support growth and improve living standards for residents.

He expressed optimism that the completion of the facility would complement other interventions aimed at making Akatsi North a safer and more development-oriented District.
