Dambai (O/R) Nov .07, GNA – World Vision Ghana has commissioned new water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities in the Krachi West Municipality and Krachi Nchumuru District of the Oti Region, benefiting over 27,900 people.
The facilities include eight-seater toilets, solar-powered water systems, standpipes, and taps across eight communities, aiming to improve community health and development.
Mr Irvine Aboagye, Southern Regional Operations Manager of World Vision, emphasised the importance of Sustainable Development.
He emphasised the importance of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), which sought to ensure access to clean water and sanitation for all, noting that achieving this goal is crucial to the success of many other SDGs.
He urged the beneficiary communities to take ownership and maintain the facilities to ensure their sustainability.


Mr Rebel Wamisho, the Associate WASH Director of World Vision, echoed the appeal, calling on chiefs and community leaders to safeguard the facilities for future generations.
He assured residents that the water systems were constructed using high quality, stainless -steel materials free of harmful chemicals.
