Accra, Nov. 16, GNA – The newly installed Abakomahene (Crown Prince) of Larteh Kubease, Nana Operedom Kwame Mante-ete Mante I, has pledged to lead with humility, wisdom and dedication to the development of his community.

He made the commitment during a Thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ramseyer Congregation- Afiaman to mark his successful coronation, which he described as a significant spiritual moment that aligned with the message preached during the service.

Preaching on the theme of inheritance in Christ, Reverend Nana Yaw Ntiri Siaw, the Second Minister of the church said Christians inherited God’s love, goodness and the mandate to spread the gospel.

He emphasised that the Presbyterian Church, over the past 200 years, had built schools, hospitals and churches as part of this inheritance, which must be protected and expanded for future generations.

Rev. Siaw cited biblical texts from Deuteronomy 6:6–7, 1 Corinthians 15:58 and John 3:23, reminding the congregation that inheritance could bring either good or bad depending on how it was managed.

Reflecting on the sermon, Nana Operedom Kwame Mante-ete Mante I recounted the early history of the Presbyterian Church in Larteh, recalling how the miraculous revival of a fetish priest’s child led to the conversion of more than 3,000 community members.

He said the story symbolised how God entrusted power to humanity for good works.

“As Crown Prince, God has entrusted a responsibility to me through the Agyaonpode family, the first settlers of Larteh,” he said.

“I am duty-bound to use this authority to uplift and develop Larteh Kubease.”

He added: “I thank God for speaking to me through the sermon, advising me to humble myself and seek wisdom and knowledge so that my steps will be directed to do what is acceptable before Him.”

Nana Operedom Kwame Mante-ete Mante I cautioned leaders who misuse power, stressing that authority was given for the comfort and well-being of the people.

“God gives power to leaders to make life comfortable for their subjects. We must follow His direction to prepare a better future for the next generations,” he said.

The Minister-in-Charge of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ramseyer Congregation-Afiaman in the Ga East Municipality, Reverend Joshua Sackey (Esq.), offered special prayers for the Abakomahene, his family and all who accompanied him for the thanksgiving ceremony.

He prayed for God’s guidance, strength and peace to reign in his home and kingdom.
