Central Tongu Assembly distributes 300 streetlights to strengthen community safety

Adidome (V/R), Nov. 25, GNA – The Central Tongu District Assembly has handed over 300 streetlights to Assembly Members for installation within their respective Electoral Areas under the “Light Up Central Tongu” initiative. 

The initiative, jointly led by Mr Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, the District Chief Executive and Mr Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, the Member of Parliament, forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance visibility, improve security, and support socio-economic activities across the district. 

Presenting the streetlights, Mr Mornyuie reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to provide essential infrastructure to promote public safety.  

He said additional streetlights would soon be installed along major routes of the community to ensure safer night-time movement and strengthen community confidence. 

He commended the Assembly Members for their continued collaboration and encouraged them to oversee the smooth installation and maintenance of the lights for the benefit of residents. 

Mr Mornyuie expressed optimism that the initiative would positively impact community life, enhance security operations, and contribute to the district’s broader development agenda.
