Atebubu/Amantin MCE urges health workers to improve personal relationship with patients

Atebubu, (Bono East), Sept. 08, GNA – Mr Thomas Masud Ayarba, the Atebubu/Amantin Municipal Chief Executive, has urged health workers at the Atebubu Municipal Hospital to do more to provide excellent healthcare service to the sick.  
 
He urged the health workers to build and improve personal relationships with their patients, saying it would build patient confidence and thereby enhance useful health outcomes in the municipality.  
 
Mr Ayarba gave the advice when he interacted with health workers at the Atebubu Municipal Hospital during a visit to the facility.  
 
He also visited and interacted with the personnel of the Atebubu/Amantin National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and the Municipal Directorate of Health.  
 
Mr Ayarba reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare infrastructure to improve service delivery and tackle some pressing challenges faced by health workers and patients.  
 
He commended the health workers for their hard work in meeting the growing health demand of the people and stressed the Assembly’s commitment to help tackle the emerging challenges confronting quality healthcare delivery in the area.  
 
Mr Ayarba explained that his visits were to enable him to acquaint himself with the operations of the facilities, pledging to support initiatives to improve patient care and staff development.  
 
Mr Edward Oppong Yeboah, the Administrator at the Atebubu Municipal Hospital said the facility was grateful to MCE and expressed the hope that with his support some challenges confronting the hospital would be tackled.  
 
Mr Bismarck Adu, the Atebubu/Amantin Municipal Manager of the NHIS also thanked the MCE for the visit.
