Accra, Aug. 10, GNA – Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has commended the newly appointed governing board of the Creative Arts Agency (CAA) for accepting the call to national service.
“The survival and success of the Agency depends greatly on your collective leadership. I urge you to uphold the values of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to the country,” she said.
Speaking during the official inauguration of the Board, the minister also charged members with the critical responsibility of driving growth and innovation in Ghana’s tourism and creative arts sector.
“This inauguration marks a renewed commitment by government to strengthen the institutional framework supporting the country’s burgeoning creative industry, and your role will be to shape the strategic direction of the CAA”.
Madam Gomashie said the board was expected to bolster the work of the Agency in promoting Ghanaian culture, nurturing talent, and expanding opportunities in the arts sector both locally and internationally.
The Minister outlined key areas of focus for the board, including alignment with national development priorities, promotion of good governance, and deepening collaboration with stakeholders across the creative ecosystem.
She expressed confidence in the capabilities of the board, noting the diverse professional backgrounds and wealth of experience each member brings to the table.
Madam Gomashie also conveyed her appreciation to President Mahama for assembling a “distinguished and dynamic” team of professionals to guide the Agency’s operations and long-term development.
Members of the newly inaugurated board include Messieurs Gideon Cyril Aryeequaye, William Akwetey Bonsu, Divine Owusu Ansah, Yaw Lorlorwu Sekyi, Ms. Brenda Abankwah, and Ms. Divina Dornuki Nkwatabisa.
The rest are Mesdames Akofa Edjeani, Leonora Buckman, Korkui Selormey, Mr Latif Batalima Abubakar, and Mr Benjamin Anabila.
