Bolgatanga, Aug. 23, GNA – SONABEL, the Power Producing Company of Burkina Faso, is set to begin the spillage of water from the Bagre Dam from Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
In a statement, signed and copied to the Ghana News Agency, the Water Resources Commission, Ghana, informed stakeholders that it had received update from SONABEL regarding the water level of the Bagre Dam.
“The current water level of the Bagre Dam as of Friday, August 22, 2025, is 233.98 metres and the filling rate of the dam is 86.38 per cent.
“SONABEL has scheduled to commence controlled water spillage from the Bagre Dam from Wednesday, August 27, 2025”, it said.
The statement advised communities along the White Volta River and adjoining areas to take necessary precautions and adhere to safety guidelines from the local assemblies and the appropriate agencies.
