Accra, Aug. 6, GNA- The Design and Technology Institute (DTI) has held an exhibition to highlight the innovation, technical skill, and creativity of learners, culminating in a diverse showcase of art, design, and problem-solving solutions.

The DTI Projects and Art Exhibition 2025 is a showcase of learner achievements across various departments, including Product Realization, Welding & Fabrication, CAD/CAM, Graphic Design, Web Development, Robotics, and Fine Arts.

Ms. Constance Swaniker, Founder of Design and Technology Institute (DTI), said the exhibition did not only highlight academic and technical accomplishments but also emphasised interdisciplinary collaboration, creative potential, and innovation.

This year’s Student Projects and Art Exhibition was on the theme: “Unleashing Potential and Talent.”

She said at DTI, the mission had always been clear to nurture young people with the mindset, tools, and competencies needed to build dignified livelihoods and shape the future of Africa.

She said at the heart of this mission was a bold commitment to 360-degree holistic education.

“Through our programmes in Precision Welding, Design Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, we are developing the head, heart, and hands of every learner to produce thinkers, makers, and doers,” she added.

Ms Swaniker, who is also the President of DTI, said this meant that the institution did not only teach hard skills like welding, fabrication, design, and product development but placed equal value on soft skills such as communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, leadership, and problem-solving.

She said these were the very qualities that power innovation, strengthen communities, and ensure long-term impact.

She said this exhibition wqs more than a display of projects and it was a living testament to what happens when young people were empowered to dream, to do, and to become.

“Each design, prototype, and artwork is filled with meaning, shaped by resilience, discipline, and bold imagination,” the Founder said.

Ms Swaniker said the learners were not just showcasing their work, but telling stories, solving problems, and demonstrating what was possible when vision meets action.

“We are proud of your growth, your courage, and your commitment.

To our dedicated faculty, mentors, and staff: thank you for your relentless support in shaping not just skilled professionals but principled and purpose-driven individuals,” she said.

She commended the industry collaborators, technical consultants, sub-implementing partners, and members of the Programme Advisory Council for believing in DTI’s mission and investing in the future of Africa’s youth.

She said DTI remained committed to building a generation of creators, innovators, and leaders young people equipped not just for jobs, but for lifelong impact.
