Kumasi, Aug. 10 – Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim, the Chief of the Wangara Community in the Ashanti Region, has extended his deepest condolences to the Government of Ghana and the families of victims of the recent helicopter crash that claimed the lives of government officials and military officers.
In a statement, Chief Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim described the incident as a “great national tragedy” and a painful loss not only to the bereaved families but to the entire nation.
He noted that the victims died in the line of duty and should be remembered for their selfless service, commitment and sacrifice to the country.
“This painful incident is not only a loss to the families and loved ones of the departed but also a great loss to our dear nation. The selfless service, commitment, and sacrifice of the victims in the line of duty will forever be remembered and honoured,” the statement read.
The Wangara Chief assured the bereaved families of the thoughts and prayers of the entire Wangara Community in the Ashanti Region, praying that Allah grants the departed eternal rest and strengthens their families during this difficult time.
He further called for unity among Ghanaians in the face of the tragedy, saying moments like this should remind the nation of the importance of compassion, solidarity, and mutual support.
