William Sarpong promises to provide access to advertising opportunities for all PRINPAG members

Accra, July 28, GNA- Mr William Sarpong, Managing Editor of Environmental Guide, who is vying for the PRINPAG Organising Secretary has promised to provide equal opportunities to members in terms of advertisements.

“I will actively engage companies, institutions, and agencies to secure equitable advertising partnerships that will benefit all member media houses, not just a privileged few. Every member matters. Every outlet counts”.

As part of his campaign outline, he added that capacity building and continuous professional development would be cardinal in his role as Organising Secretary.

“I will initiate regular training sessions and workshops in critical areas like digital journalism, investigative reporting, safety in the field, and media law. Together, we must stay relevant, skilled, and competitive”.

Mr Sarpong said Journalism was demanding and to keep them refreshed and inspired, he would organise annual retreats focused on mental health, networking, and strategic reflection, as a well-rested journalist was a more productive one.

On unity and inclusiveness, Mr Sarpong said he was committed to building a more inclusive PRINPAG, where every voice would be heard, every region represented, and no member left behind.

“Decisions will be made through broad consultation, mutual respect, and shared ownership”.

Mr Sarpong also promised a strong internal communication, that would ensure timely updates, improved coordination, and better engagement across all members using platforms like WhatsApp, email, and other digital tools.

“Information should flow freely and effectively.

On support for regional activities, Mr Sarpong said: “Our colleagues outside Accra deserve attention and resources. I will advocate greater support for regional initiatives, because growth must be inclusive and national in scope.

“Together, we can build a PRINPAG that is stronger, united, and forward-looking, a PRINPAG that serves all its members equally and proudly.”
