In all 10 pupils from Kindergarten one to Basic eight were presented with a citation and a parcel each.

The awardees are Apedahoun Samuel and Ati Elisha, respectively of Kindergarten one and two, Atitso Emmanuel, Basic one, Dotse Uriah, Basic two, Dzansi Emmanuella, Basic three and while Fianyo Esther is in Basic four.

Togbe Dzegblade IV, the Chief of the community at the ceremony said the present indulgence of the youth in hard drugs was worrying and advised the pupils to shy away from such habits.

He disabused their minds from the myth that drugs helped students to learn, warning that “it will rather destroy your future.”

Togbe Dzegblade encouraged them to befriend their books during the holidays and also be obedient to their parents.

He praised the teachers and other staff for their dedication to work and assured them of his support.

Mr Charles Kugbeadzor, the Headteacher of the school, asked parents to help provide the educational materials needed for their wards to enable them to improve their academic performance.

He gave an assurance that he and his colleagues would continue to put in their maximum best not only to help the pupils to achieve academic excellence but also to ensure they became responsible adults in the future.

Mr Seth Soglo, the Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association, said the executives of the Association had earmarked several development projects for the school including the provision of shutters for the classroom blocks, fence wall around the facility and a poly tank for the storage of water.

He appealed to the parents to donate towards the realisation of these projects.
