Women in Tech Ghana encourages BECE candidates to persevere and shine

Accra, June 12, GNA –Ms. Luvina Sandra Atsu, the Country Director of Women in Tech Ghana, has encouraged candidates of the ongoing 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) nationwide to believe in their abilities and pass well. 

“Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have brought you to this moment, and we have no doubt that you will excel,” she said. 

Ms Atsu praised the dedication and resilience of the candidates, acknowledging the hard work that had brought them to this pivotal moment in their academic journey. 

She urged them to “Stay focused, believe in themselves, and approach each paper with confidence. May your efforts be rewarded with great success and may this be the beginning of a bright and promising future. Go and shine.” 

The Chapter Director of Women in Tech Ghana, a strong advocate for youth empowerment and digital literacy, emphasised the importance of self-belief and mental preparation as key ingredients for success in the BECE.  

She urged them not to be daunted by the examinations but to see them as an opportunity to showcase their growth and potential. 

She said Women in Tech Ghana would continue to champion inclusive education and digital empowerment for young girls, particularly in underrepresented communities.  

A total of 603,328 candidates across the country are writing the 2025 BECE, which commenced on Wednesday, June 11, ending on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. 

The 297,250 males and 306,078 females are the first batch of students seeking to benefit from the Free Senior High School (FSHS) Policy under the new government. 

The number of candidates for this year’s BECE for School Candidates surged 5.99 per cent over the 2024 entry figure of 569,236.
