Swedru(C/R), June 12, GNA- Members of the educational Committee of Swedruman Council of Chiefs have toured BECE centers to wish candidates the best of luck and motivate them against fear or panic to come out with flying colours.
The committee members led by Nana Kweku Esieni V, the Regent of Agona Swedru, visited 13 centers in the Agona Swedru, Agona Nyakrom, Agona Bobikuma, Nkum, Agona Abodom and others in the Agona West Municipality.
Addressing the candidates at one of the centers, at Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS), Nana Esieni assured the candidates that the Council would offer financial support to any candidate to score single digit aggregate.
Three students scored single digit aggregates last year, but he was hopeful that the 2025 BECE would produce more through hard work and dedication.
The Regent, who is also the Nifahene of Agona Swedru urged teachers to ensure the candidates were brought to the centres on time for them not to panic because of late arrival.
The Swedru Regent said a recent regional survey conducted by WAEC on examination malpractices had Central Region exempted from that practice.
A Total of 2, 993 candidates from 71 both public and private basic schools in the Agona west Municipality are expected to participate in seven days examination.
Mr Kojo Frimpong, Headmaster of Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) said the centre had in the past five years, not recorded any examination malpractice and expressed the hope that, same story would be retold this year.
