Paramount Chief of Saboba pays courtesy call on Northern Regional Minister

Tamale, June 27, GNA – Ubor Mateer John Bowan Sakojim IV, Paramount Chief of Saboba has paid a courtesy call on the Northern Regional Minister to congratulate him on his appointment to the position. 

Ubor Sakojim IV was accompanied by his sub-chiefs and the Saboba District Chief Executive. 

Mr. Ali Adolf John, Northern Regional Minister, speaking during the meeting at his office in Tamale on Thursday, expressed gratitude to the Paramount Chief and his entourage for the visit. 

He appealed to the chiefs and people of Saboba in the region to embrace peace in the area, emphasising that it was essential for development. 

He also urged the people of Saboba to prioritise education as a key driver of development and progress in the area.  

Mr. John assured the people of Saboba that the government would roll out more development projects in the area with the aim of improving the lives of residents and driving economic growth.  

He said the roll out of the projects was expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, create jobs, and improving access to essential services ultimately contributing to the overall development of Saboba and its people. 

Ubor Sakojim IV thanked the Regional Minister for the warm reception and congratulated him on his appointment.  

He expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing him (Mr John) as the Regional Minister.  

He also expressed appreciation to the President and the Regional Minister for the ongoing development projects at Saboba, especially the construction of the Wapuli Bridge. 

He appealed to the government to establish a tertiary institution such as a College of Education at Saboba, and said it would greatly benefit the local community and contribute to the region’s development. 

He urged the Regional Minister to be tolerant and patient in serving the region, emphasising the importance of these qualities in effective leadership and ensuring the well-being of the people.
