Kadjebi (O/R), June 7, GNA- Adidokpui, a farming community in the Agortime-Ziope District of the Volta Region, receives a mechanised water system from the Qatar Foundation because of the Ghana News Agency’s (GNA) publication.
The publication, titled “Adidokpui residents appeal for potable, accessible water,” dated August 10, 2024, has delivered positive outcome.
Ms. Aku-Sika Kpene, Project Contact Lead Person, extended an invitation to the GNA for the commissioning of the project on Sunday, June 8.
She said, “Daniel, you did a publication on the water crisis in Ziope Adidokpui last year. I lobbied the Qatar Foundation, and they constructed a mechanised borehole, which will be commissioned on Sunday, June 8. I wanted to let you know and invite you to cover it as well.”
Mr. Kwaku Agbezudor, Regent of Adidokpui, who led the GNA to the contaminated, coloured water source that fateful day, expressed joy and excitement over the newly constructed water system in an interview with the GNA.
He commended GNA for the good work done in enabling them to get a modern mechanised water system.
