Kofikrom (WN/R), June 27, GNA – Nana Kwasi Aduhene II, the Chief of Sefwi Kofikrom, has registered a total of 1,824 individuals onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) as part of the 2025 Eluo Festival celebration for the chiefs and people of the area.
Speaking during the registration, Nana Aduhene II said the gesture was to help reduce the financial burden of his people when they accessed healthcare services.
He appealed to other benevolent individuals and organisations, especially those in the Juaboso District to help.
In all, about 617 of the beneficiaries were new registrants, while 1,207 also renewed their cards.
In another development Nana Kwasi Aduhene II, organised quiz competitions among Junior High Schools in Kofikrom, Proso, Akwasi Addaikrom, Elumbo and Adiembra, all in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
Nana Aduhene II took the opportunity to encourage the school children to respect their teachers and take their studies seriously to achieve their future ambitions.
