Saki, Oct 20, GNA -Mr Richard Ghandia, Kpone-Katamanso Constituency Information Technology (IT) Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), is seeking to become the next constituency chairman to usher in a new direction anchored on competence, renewed energy and purposeful vision.

Mr Ghandia said it was time for the party in the constituency to recognise the contributions and sacrifices of its faithful and ensure that dedicated members were given the necessary support and recognition.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, he disclosed that his ambition was to build a more inclusive, responsive and forward-looking constituency party capable of strengthening its structures at the grassroots.

He said his leadership would be guided by three thematic pillars: competence, renewed energy and purposeful vision, which he believed were essential to revitalising the party and improving its organisational effectiveness.

According to him, leadership encompassed all spheres of party organisation, adding that he would leverage his experience in modern technology to rebrand the NDC in Kpone-Katamanso and make it more attractive to members and prospective supporters at the grassroots.

Mr Ghandia said the effective use of technology could improve communication, coordination and engagement among party members, while helping to modernise the constituency’s organisational structures.

He appealed to delegates to endorse his candidature in the upcoming constituency conference saying his immediate priority would be to unite aggrieved members and reconcile differences within the party.

He said unity and collective commitment would be crucial to ensuring the effective implementation of his proposed policies and programmes.

Mr Ghandia stressed that a united constituency would be better positioned to mobilise its members, strengthen party structures and advance the NDC’s political objectives.

More than 2,000 delegates of the NDC in the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency are expected to converge at the Kpone Methodist Park on Saturday to elect constituency executive members for a four-year term.
