Accra, May, 28, GNA – Olivera Miljkovic Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Serbia has donated 45 pack of bottles and sachets water to Myra Immaculate Early Childhood Development School in Korle-Gorno, a suburb of Accra.
The project “Water for All” seeks to improve access to clean water in Nursery and Kindergarten Schools across Ghana.
The donation was part of the launch of the Foundation in Ghana to ensure a mutual relations between the two nations.
Presenting the donation at the school, Madam Jennifier Quaye Acting General Secretary of the Foundation said the future of every nation belongs to the children.
She said, “There have always been water issues in some parts of Accra, so we thought it wise to provide it to the nurseries and kindergartens instead of the basic schools.”
“We are not limiting our support to Accra; we are going to support all the nurseries and kindergartens schools across the country.”
Madam Selasi Letsah the Proprietress of the School, who received the items on behalf of the school expressed gratitude to the Foundation for the gesture and promised to put it in good use for the benefit of the children.
She said, “This water would help save money for the children’s parents, who have been purchasing water for their wards daily.”
Olivera Miljkovic was born on August 30th 1935 in Belgrade, Serbia and marred to a famous Serbian Journalist Blagoje Miljkovic, and died on February, 3, 2025.
