Adidome (V/R), April 17, GNA – As the second term draws to a close, parents, students, and teachers have been urged to continue to make reading materials available to students to keep them busy for the short holiday.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr. Stanley Agbozo, Chairman of the Adidome Local Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) emphasised the importance of continued learning and responsible behavior during the upcoming break.

“Parents should be watchful and ensure that their children learn during the vacation,” Mr. Agbozo urged.

“Children are the future of the state, so parents should take care of them.”

To support this, he encouraged parents to provide their children with extra reading materials to reinforce the lessons learned in school.

The GNAT Chairman also advised them to take care of themselves, revise school lessons, respect their parents and guardians, and avoid social vices.

Mr Agbozo warned students against engaging in social vices, such as drug abuse, and peer influence that could derail their focus on education. “They are state assets and should avoid peer influence that could negatively impact their future,” he emphasized.

Expressing gratitude to his fellow teachers for their dedication to educating students during the second term, Mr. Agbozo urged them to ensure they also learn, upgrade, and make sure they do their professional duties, preparing before the next academic session. “Teachers should use this opportunity to upgrade themselves and prepare for the next academic session,” he said.

Some parents expressed appreciation for the GNAT Chairman’s advice. “We will ensure our children continue to learn during the vacation and monitor their activities,” said one parent.

Teachers also welcomed Mr. Agbozo’s advice, pledging to upgrade themselves and prepare for the next academic session. “We are committed to providing quality education to our students.”
