Big Ada, March 12, GNA – Nene Jetse Abram Kabu Akuaku III, the Paramount Chief of the Ada Traditional Area, has officially launched the Jetse Developmental Foundation, a nonprofit organisation, to spearhead development initiatives in communities within the area and beyond.

Nene Akuaku, who doubles as the Chairman of the Ada Traditional Council, is the founder and owner of the organisation.

The launching brought together traditional leaders, government officials, community members, and development partners to mark the beginning of a foundation committed to social and economic transformation.

Mrs Christiana Sikayo Osifodoe, the Executive Director of the foundation, said its mission included improving healthcare, sanitation, and security, as well as promoting quality education and preserving and advancing Ada’s tourism and cultural heritage.

Mrs Osifodoe stated that they also aimed at empowering young people through entrepreneurship and mentorship, fostering effective leadership skills, and recognising outstanding individuals, businesses, and groups with excellence awards.

“Our goal is to bridge the development gap by creating opportunities for young people,” she said.

She said supporting education and improving healthcare facilities in the communities was also key to the development of Ada, expressing the belief that by working together, a better future could be built for all.

Mrs Osifodoe called on corporate organisations, individuals, and community groups to collaborate with the foundation to achieve its developmental goals, giving the assurance that they would be transparent and accountable in all its projects to deliver impactful initiatives in the years ahead.

The launch featured cultural performances and testimonials from individuals who had previously benefitted from the foundation’s philanthropic efforts.

Traditional leaders and dignitaries present applauded the foundation’s vision and called on stakeholders to support its initiatives.

Nene Lomo IV, the Divisional Chief of Lomobiawer, commended the effort of the foundation and encouraged the community to take ownership of the foundation to foster development projects in the area.

He said Ada needed more of such visionary projects to transform the lives of the people, indicating that the organisation’s focus on education and skills development aligned with the traditional council’s efforts to create a self-reliant society for the people.
